Job Summary: Your Role & Responsibilities

The Manager Procurement will lead and oversee all procurement-related matters for PIEDMC. This senior management position requires a candidate with an exceptional understanding of procurement best practices, auditing principles, and statutory compliance. You will be instrumental in ensuring all our procurement activities are transparent, efficient, and in strict adherence to government regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive procurement strategies and policies.
• Ensuring meticulous compliance with PPRA Rules and other relevant government regulations.
• Leading the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Conducting internal procurement audits to maintain a high standard of accountability and transparency.
• Providing expert advice and guidance on complex procurement issues to senior management.
• Managing, mentoring, and leading the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.

Required Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this vital role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is highly preferred. The degree must be from an HEC-recognized university, with a professional certification recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) being an added advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in all facets of procurement. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working with government or public sector organizations, and a thorough, practical knowledge of PPRA rules and procedures.
• Age Limit: The minimum age for applicants is 35 years.
